Necromancer

Pet-master commander. Frail in person (just 14 HP), but raises and heals an entire arsenal of undead followers and gets a damage boost in the dark, though netherite weapons cut through them.

The Necromancer is mechanically Unholy but counted as a mortal/non-Supernatural race, meaning Priest abilities like Banish and Drain don't target them, but they're still vulnerable to the things that prey on humans. They have the lowest max HP of any race (14) and so live or die by their followers.

Abilities
Summon Follower Cycle
A cycled spell that lets the Necromancer cycle through nine summon options, Skeleton, Zombie, Drowned, Husk, Stray, Wither Skeleton, Zombie Villager, Zombified Piglin, Zoglin: and summon the selected type as a personal, race-aware follower. Each follower runs custom NMS pathfinder goals (follow leader, retaliate when owner is hurt, ignore players of the owner's race) so they coordinate properly with the Necromancer in combat.
Heal Undead Active
Heals every undead within a 16-block radius (zombies, skeletons, drowned, etc.) for 35% of their max HP. Works on followers and on naturally-spawned undead alike, turns the Necromancer into a battlefield support for ambient mob populations.
Set Resurrection Spawn Active
Sets a custom respawn point at the target's current location, separate from vanilla beds. The Necromancer's only mobility/utility ability, pre-place a death recovery point before risky engagements.
Book of Death Recruiting
Creates a Book of Death item in the target's inventory, the recruiting item that turns whoever reads it into a Necromancer. Subject to the server-wide recruiting-item limit.
Combat profile

Damage dealt

  • 1.5ร— damage dealt when standing in low light (light level < 8), Necromancers fight hardest in caves and at night.

Damage taken

  • 4ร— damage taken from netherite weapons (sword, axe, hoe, pickaxe, shovel), the dedicated counter to the dark arts. Anyone who's farmed ancient debris is your hard counter.

Zombie
Melee bruiser. The default workhorse summon.
Drowned
Aquatic undead. Functional underwater where other followers struggle.

Stray
Skeleton variant. Inflicts slowness on hit via tipped arrows.
Wither Skeleton
Heavy hitter. Inflicts wither effect on hit.
Zombie Villager
Zombie-stat follower with profession-flavoured chat presence.
Zombified Piglin
Sword-wielding melee follower. Aggressive.
Zoglin
The biggest, hardest-hitting summon in the kit. Slow but devastating.
Design notes

Followers are race-aware: by default, a Necromancer's summons won't accidentally aggro on other Necromancers. The follower architecture (a GeneralFollower base + custom pathfinder goals) is the single largest subsystem in the plugin and was built specifically to make the Necromancer's kit feel cohesive.
