Mortal ranger built around a multi-stage custom bow. Five distinct arrow modes, fire, grapple, power, triple-shot, and volley, cycled through one toggle. The only race whose entire identity is the bow.

Passives & identity

The Witch Hunter is the only race built entirely around a single weapon (their bow) and the only race whose 'spells' are actually arrow types. The bow itself acts as a cycled spell: cycling its stage swaps the arrow type that fires when you draw it, letting one weapon serve five distinct ranged roles.

Witch Hunter Bow Cycle
A cycled bow with five firing modes. Cycle the stage to choose which arrow flies on the next shot. Each arrow gets custom physics and effects on impact, not just a tinted vanilla projectile.
Fire Arrow Active
Launches an arrow at 2ร— velocity with 10,000 fire ticks baked in, anyone hit ignites for an absurdly long time.
Grapple Arrow Active
Launches an arrow at 2ร— velocity tagged with the firing location in its persistent data. Lands and acts as a grapple anchor, pulling the Witch Hunter or applying yank physics to whatever it sticks in.
Power Arrow Active
Launches an arrow at 4ร— velocity, 4ร— damage, and 2ร— knockback. The single most damaging projectile in the plugin.
Triple Arrow Active
Fires three arrows in a 20ยฐ spread at 1.5ร— velocity. Shotgun-style spread for close-range kills or hard-to-miss volleys.
Volley Arrow Active
Fires a fan of arrows into the air for area suppression.
Book of Witch Hunter Recruiting
Creates a Book of Witch Hunter item in the target's inventory, the recruiting item that turns whoever reads it into a Witch Hunter. Subject to the server-wide recruiting-item limit.

Damage dealt

  • No melee damage multipliers, the Witch Hunter is a pure ranged class.

Damage taken

  • 1/3 fall damage: the only defensive perk, useful for grapple-arrow vertical play.
Design notes

Custom arrows are tagged with a persistent data key on creation, which the CustomArrows listener uses to apply per-arrow-type effects on landing. Pickup is disabled on every Witch Hunter arrow, they're pure ammunition rather than recoverable items.
