The flagship race. Hard-hitting Unholy combatant with viral infection, mobility through bat transformation, and a razor-thin set of sun and wood weaknesses keeping it in check.

Passives & identity

The Vampire is the most fully-featured race in the plugin and the one I tuned most carefully. It packs the hardest single-hit damage multiplier (2ร—), the broadest spell list (8 abilities), and an active infection vector through Vampire Bite that lets the race spread itself virally without admin intervention.

The two cooling weights against this: wood weapons cut through Vampires like nothing else (4ร— incoming), and sunlight prevents the Vampire's hunger from regenerating via LightSensitivity. Operating during the day means watching the hunger bar drain with no recovery, which in turn prevents Vampire Bite from firing (it requires hunger โ‰ค 6).

Abilities
High Jump Active
Launches the Vampire into the air. Requires standing on a solid block. Inexpensive and short cooldown, designed for traversal.
Bloodvial Active
Drains some of the Vampire's hunger into a consumable Blood Vial item. Requires a hunger bar above 6 (so it has something to drain). The Vampire's only food-economy tool.
Bat Teleport Active
Turns the Vampire into a swarm of bats and flies them to the block they're looking at, up to 50 blocks away. Cost scales linearly with distance (charges per block traveled), with vertical movement multiplied 3ร— for range and 1.5ร— for cost, high cost to fly straight up.
Bat Fly Active
Grants 5 seconds of bat-swarm flight with invisibility, leaving a trail of cosmetic bats. Disables when the duration ends and forces the Vampire back to the ground (unless they were already in creative).
Vampire Bite Active
Bites a target, deals 4 damage, refills the Vampire's hunger to full, applies Weakness (10s) and Nausea (5s). Required conditions: target must be a non-Supernatural (so other Vampires can't bite each other), the Vampire's hunger must be โ‰ค 6, and the Vampire must be in low light (light level โ‰ค 7). The target then enters the infection pipeline.
Bloodrose Recruiting
Creates a Bloodrose Potion in the target's inventory, a consumable that turns whoever drinks it into a Vampire. Subject to the server-wide recruiting-item limit.
Water Breathing Toggle
Toggleable passive that lets the Vampire breathe underwater. Drains a small amount of Magic per tick while active.
Regeneration Toggle
Toggleable passive that regenerates the Vampire's health over time. Drains Magic per tick while active.

Damage dealt

  • 2ร— damage dealt on every attack, the strongest baseline outbound multiplier in the game.

Damage taken

  • 0.80ร— incoming damage: moderately tanky.
  • 4ร— damage taken from wooden weapons (sword, axe, hoe, pickaxe, shovel), the classic stake counter, baked into combat math. A stone sword does more damage than netherite if you're a Vampire.
  • No fall damage.
